I love watching movies and series. The one I am looking at currently binge-watching is surely the second series of “The Mandalorian” which is an American space Western streaming television series created by Jon Favreau for Disney+. The new episode of The Mandalorian which was released on the 28th of November was beyond perfect (my favorite so far) and needless to say that Grogu has been in my brain very bad. All this has been possible only because of my dlink router.
My home is located in the outskirts of the city and hence not many facilities are provided in terms of network. I spend my days mostly in my office which is adjacent to my house and for this reason I needed a good internet connection and network. I had an internet connection set up in my house but I was not sure if I needed one in my office too. However, I was sure of the fact that I needed to watch all the episodes of every exciting series and movies without any delay. Also, the workload had been high for a few days.
That’s when I decided to get a router. Firstly I was unsure if this would solve my problem but I got the dlink router for myself. I got it in the Black Friday sale, and I could have never imagined that all my worries would come to an end at such an affordable price! This has to be the best router in the market as it connects to the internet very fast. The display and appearance are sleek and does not look bulky. So far it performs just great with no trouble. It has a special feature called WPS and it is both wired and wireless.
Setting up my D-link Router
The dlink router comes with a power adapter/ router’s power supply or charger, a USB cable, driver disc, and a manual. Make sure to use the power adapter you are using is the same as the one given with your router. Setting up the dlink router was pretty easy and you do not need to be too much into technology to set up the dlink router. Firstly you need to locate the power cable and connect it to a power source like an outlet or surge protector.
Then you have to plug the other end of the power cable into the router’s power input, which is usually located in the rear. Then your router should power on. Make sure that your router is connected to a modem to provide the local network with an Internet connection. After the wireless/with wire connection is done, you need to run the mydlink setup wizard of the router and enjoy the Wi-Fi connection of the D-link wireless Wi-Fi router with ease.
Logging into my Dlink Router
To login to the dlink router, you need to use a computer that is connected to the D-Link router, and then open any web browser as per your choices such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, or Google Chrome. Then you can enter one of the following addresses into your browser address bar: http://dlinkrouter.local or http://192.168.0.1 and then go to mydlink login. Then you have to enter your login credentials such as your username and password. By default both the username and password is “admin”. It is however advisable to change the default credentials as per your choice. You can also follow the steps written in the manual to log-in to your dlink router successfully.
Troubleshooting in the D-link Router
It might have happened that you are facing slow wireless speed or your wireless connection keeps dropping or you have a low wireless signal. You can check setting up the router on some other device. If your internet is slow or is only dropping on one of multiple devices/computers, then the issue is probably not with the router. In case if your router is the cause, all devices connected will be affected. If the problem lies in the router, you need to enter http://dlinkrouter.local or http://192.168.0.1 into the address bar or go to mydlink not working and then login. You can also try changing the location of your router and ensure that the router is running on the latest firmware version.
