Tincture boxes are something you would typically buy rather than make yourself, but they’re quite easy to put together. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the process of making your custom tincture boxes, so that you can infuse your favorite flavors and aromas with essential oils and create an incredibly unique gift or keepsake for someone special in your life.
Step 1: Get Quality Products
If you’re looking to get your products out there in the world, the packaging is key. Custom boxes are a great way to do that, but you’ll need to make sure they’re of quality if you want them to last. That’s why it’s important to work with a packaging expert who will help you find the right boxes for your custom tincture boxes.
Step 2: Stock your home with herbs
Have you ever felt the need to make your herbal remedies, but couldn’t find the right packaging? The good news is that there are a few ways you can easily create custom tincture boxes. With a little help from PackagingXpert, we’re going to show you how!
1) Create a stencil of your desired design. You can do this by tracing around an existing box or cutting out shapes from paper.
Step 3: How to Prevent Overdosing
One of the most important things to consider when creating tincture boxes is how much alcohol to use. A good rule of thumb is 1 ounce per fluid ounce of herbal mixture. This means that if your mixture is 8 fluid ounces, you will want to use at least 8 ounces of alcohol. Otherwise, your tinctures may not extract properly or be overly potent.
Step 4: Check for Visual Signs of Damaged Herbs
While herbs can become damaged in transit, it’s very rare. If you notice these signs when you receive your order, please contact our customer service team immediately so that we can provide a refund or send out a replacement shipment.
Step 5: Add The Ingredients To The Vial
The last step is to add the tincture ingredients to the vial. Carefully pour your tincture into the glass vial with a metal lid, leaving about an inch of head space for expansion. Make sure you leave enough room for the metal cap on top. Screw on the metal lid tightly, this will ensure that your tinctures stay sealed and will not leak during shipment or while in storage.
Step 6: Fill Up The Bottle With Brandy
The last step in the process is to fill up the bottle with brandy. If you don’t have any brandy, you can use wine or liquor of your choice. Fill up the bottles to the top. Make sure you leave enough room for a label.
Step 7: Package Them Up Nicely And Enjoy!
Packaging can be the most fun part of creating a new product! If you’ve been using the same packaging for a while, or if you’re just ready to try something new, this step is for you. Now that your tincture boxes are designed, make sure to package them nicely before sending them off to their new home. So, now you know how to get started with your custom boxes. Let’s go over a few tips for packaging them up!
